Hi
I'm getting some electrical "ghosts" in the Astra.
First of, when I turn on the turningsignal (blinker), the symbol for trailer is flashing once - and only once, while the normal symbol for turningsignal is working as it should. When I look at the wiring diagram it seems that, that symbol is controlled by the multitimer, and not going through any relay.
A couple of times every year, my radio (ncdr1100) reboots, and will not work with the remote on the steeringwheel, or reacting when pressing the buttons on the radio.
Next thing is, my ECC will not start, it's refilled, new condensator, every fuse has been checked, the compressor has been measured and is fine.. but we cannot measure any voltage in the plug when trying to activate the compressor.
How much of these failures are controlled by the multitimer, or am I looking at 3 different failures ?

Hi CSH welcome to astra4ever.net
Multitimer:
I think you've got three different failures because the ECC and the radio have nothing to do with the multitimer. The multitimer only controls the turning signals, wipers, the interior light and some other things like that. But unfortunatly i have absolutely no idea whats wrong. Do you have a trailer coupling?
ECC:
I think your ECC maybe has a broken wire somewhere so the compressor gets no activation signal. That's the only thing that i can imagine because you have checked everything else.
Radio:
Maybe the radio has some broken soldering connections. What do you have to do to get the radio back to work? Do you have to move it or to hit it? That would be a typical symptom for broken soldering connections.
I hope I could help a little bit and you can understand me. I don't have written in english for a few years.
Greetings!

Hm do you still have the plug for the trailer somewhere in the back? Maybe this causes your turning signal problem.
I'm at the end of my knowledge, I hope someone with more experience can help you.

Only the original that is in the wiring - I removed everything else that had to do with the trailer.
